Rachel Muha
Rachel Ganim Muha: Rachel was born and raised in the Cleveland, Ohio area. She married, and she and her husband moved to the Columbus, Ohio area in 1981. At that time, their two sons, Chris and Brian, were 2-1/2 and 10 months old. Their family became members of St. Paul the Apostle Church, where Rachel taught 8th grade CCD classes, chaired the Gifted and Talented Program in the school, and collected food and clothing for parishioners in need. Rachel helped start a youth group for 4th grade through high school boys and girls. She homeschooled her son Brian for his 7th and 8th grade. This led to the establishment of a multi-family home school that had 75 children in various classes.
In addition to her volunteer work at the parish and school, Rachel has served as an editor for Ohio Right to Life and the President of Columbus Right to Life. She chaired conventions and brought speakers and outreach workers to Columbus, such as Dr. and Mrs. Willke, Joseph Scheidler and others.
Rachel's son, Brian Muha, 18 years old, was murdered by two men. Charlie's, Rachel's and Chris' lives changed forever. Through her act of forgiveness and wanting to bring good out of evil as Our Lord asks us to do, Rachel, Chris and other family members started The Brian Muha Memorial Foundation and in 2005, The Run The Race Club. This work has grown into an outreach to all families in the Hilltop and Franklinton area, including a food pantry, clothes and appliances distribution, a Make A House A Home program, a Farm to take the children to, sports, parties, and holiday give-aways. Rachel works every day at these ministries without monetary compensation. She says, "This is the most heartbreaking and the most joyful work I have ever done."

Men’s Session
Father Michael Haemmerle
Father Michael Haemmerle: Raised in Carroll as the oldest of five children in a Catholic family, Fr. Michael Haemmerle developed a strong foundation of faith and service from an early age. He attended The Ohio State University, where he earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering before discerning God’s call to the priesthood. He continued his formation at Pontifical College Josephinum and was ordained to the priesthood in May 2024.
Following Fr. Michael's ordination, he served as Parochial Vicar at St. Paul Catholic Church. Father now serves as the Vocation Director for the Diocese of Columbus, helping young men discern God’s call in their own lives, and will also be moving to serve at Buckeye Catholic. The opportunity to live and minister at Buckeye Catholic seems like a natural combination with his vocations work and one that will allow him to serve students and future seminarians in a very meaningful way.
